Interior designer and designer

Born January 21st, 1978 in Aix-en-Provence, France.

After a degree in art history and archaeology from Aix-Marseille University, Clémentine Giaconia continued her studies at the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués in Paris, graduating with honours in 2003 in product and interior design.  As project coordinator with a Paris design agency, she worked in an environment of luxury brands.  This is also where she met Frédéric Forest.  Each day brought a new channel for expression, whether furniture, packaging, bottles, photography or catalogues.  Glass, metal, paper, plastic, Clémentine turned her hand to all types of media.  Her cross-disciplinary approach taught her the importance of a single detail, a surface, a texture.  Meanwhile, she continued to work on her own interior design projects and, after four years, her ambition took her down a more personal road when in 2008, with Frédéric Forest, she set up FRST.

Born September 23rd, 1976 in Annecy, France.

Frédéric Forest graduated in 2002 from ENSCI/Les Ateliers (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Création Industrielle) in Paris.  While still a student there, he worked alongside the leather consultant Jocelyne Imbert on projects for Cartier leathergoods.  In 2000 he left France for Italy and the Adidas Advanced Design Studio in Montebelluna, where he designed for the brand's high-end sports shoes range.  In 2004, he worked as brand vision project manager for international luxury firms, where he used his unique, hyperactive approach to develop inventive solutions for brand image, visual identity and product design.  After various experiences working with designers Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and Jean-Marie Massaud on product and space design projects with a high technological and artistic content, in 2008 he and Clémentine Giaconia set up their own design studio, FRST.
